I’m a pretty laid-back guy. I treasure my morning coffee and daily dip at the beach. I’m partial to an arvo longboard before beers with the boys and I don’t see myself ever saying no to a Mexican feast. I enjoy the simple, honest things in life – experiences, moments, people. 

I feel most connected to couples who are comfortable being their genuine selves. Legends who don’t take themselves too seriously and know how to have a good time. 

I’ve been behind the lens for over 7 years now. I started out in the ocean, and continue to work with brands like RVCA, Electric California, Rusty and Chilli Surfboards, being featured in magazines such as Monster Children, Surfing World and Stab.

When I’m not shooting weddings I’m working on a number of high fashion projects and campaigns for clients like Longines, Jo Malone, Grazia Magazine, Bras & Things and Stylerunner.

In my opinion, the best wedding cinematography makes the viewer feel emotionally connected to the footage as if they were there. It tells a true story, with just as much personality and intimacy as the couple tying the knot. I love capturing subtle exchanges and guest reactions, without anyone looking straight at the camera. I’m known to get on the ground to get cool coverage of kids, chase puppies around a venue and encourage whacky uncles on the entertainment front. 

If I can see beautiful light falling through a tree, I’ll move around you to capture it, rather than asking you to do acrobatics again and again until I get the shot. I don’t feel the need to “make’ or ‘fake’ moments and I’m not big on posing. Bad colouring and cheesy music won’t be found here, that’s a promise. 

During the day, I’m a friendly face who dapples in a bit of banter, but for the most part I’m invisible, looking for opportunities to do your day justice. I want to create imagery that makes you say WOW and grab the closest person to you, reliving your special day with big laughs and real tears.
